Girona Cycling Holidays: Guided Tours for Every Rider

Girona is one of the best places in Europe to ride a bike: quiet roads, legendary climbs, endless gravel tracks and the Costa Brava half an hour away. Our guided cycling holidays take care of everything else — route, guides, support van, hotel and food — so you only have to ride.

What a Girona cycling holiday with us looks like

All our tours last 5 days and are built around the same formula:

  • Accommodation: you stay at the boutique Hotel Summum in Monells, a restored 15th-century building 15 minutes from Girona and 15 minutes from the Costa Brava.
  • Local guides: passionate cyclists who know every road, trail and café stop in the region.
  • Support vehicle and navigation: water, food, spare parts and a ride back if you need it.
  • Meals: daily breakfast plus selected lunches and dinners with Catalan cuisine.
  • Bikes: bring your own or rent a high-end road, gravel or mountain bike (optional).

Tours start from €1,990 per person. Groups are small, so the pace and the routes can adapt to you.

Choose your type of cycling holiday

Road cycling: the classic climbs of Girona

Ride the climbs that pros train on every week, such as Els Àngels and Rocacorba, with stages between 58 and 105 km and up to 1,600 m of climbing a day. See the Classic Climbs road tour.

Prefer a more varied week? The Girona Cycling Tour combines the best roads around the city and the Empordà.

Gravel: from Girona to the Mediterranean

Girona has become a world reference for gravel riding. Our Costa Brava Gravel tour links inland tracks with sea views, with stages from 36 to 84 km. For experienced riders, The Traka Tour follows the routes of Europe’s best-known gravel race, with stages of 100 to 120 km.

Mountain bike: racing trails and singletrack

Fast singletrack, rocky sections and technical climbs on the trails used by local races. The Mountain Bike Racing Trails tour has four riding days of 35 to 55 km and up to 1,450 m of climbing.

Easy-going: wine, coast and villages

Not everything has to be about watts. The Empordà Wine tour and the Costa Brava tour mix relaxed riding with wineries, medieval villages and the coast.

Your own dates, your own group

Travelling with friends, a club or a company? We design a custom tour around your level, dates and type of bike.

Why Girona for your cycling holiday

  • Variety in a small area: mountains, plains, gravel and coast within an hour’s ride.
  • Quiet, well-kept roads: many of the routes run through the Empordà countryside with very little traffic.
  • Cycling culture: Girona is home to many professional riders, bike shops and cycling cafés.
  • Easy to reach: Girona-Costa Brava airport is close by and Barcelona is about an hour away.

Guided or self-guided?

You can ride Girona on your own, but a guided holiday saves you planning, navigation and logistics, and gets you onto the roads and trails locals actually use. With the support van you can also push harder, knowing there is back-up if the legs or the bike fail.
